StumbleUpon Rocks!

Really enjoy these artists works.  Their designs are tight and they really know how to use the elements and principles of art.  Asymmetrically balanced and full of visual textures, this mural is impressive.  Both artists have been challenged to "marry" their styles to collaborate with a finished large scale mixed  media mural.  The colors, lines, and patterns work so well together.  All of the space is used as well.  No need to leave the wall blank, instead, they rolled some loose textures to set the mood for the union of their ideas.  Wished my students added this much of detail to their artworks... (hint hint)!

This video rocks.  If you don't know about StumbleUpon, then check it out!  Definitely worth your time...

Very cool artist who makes artworks by drawing with water and dropping in ink.

The Sistine Chapel

http://www.vatican.va/various/cappelle/sistina_vr/index.html

If you ever wanted to visit the Sistine Chapel from the comforts of your computer screen, here is your chance!  Very cool to see the entire chapel with so many paintings completed by Renaissance masters, Michelangelo and Raphael.

Enjoy!
